A) Who are the main characters in the novel? Do you like them? Why or why not? What is special about them? What do they reveal about the universal human experience?
The main characters are Ralph and Jack. I think I like Ralph but I don’t like Jack because he starts to kill the children and he starts to lead a rebellion. I like Ralph because he has the characteristics of a leader and he is nice and he doesn’t fight. There is this violent, evil, spirit in Jack that scares me because even though he’s a child, he has no mercy and does bad stuff. Ralph however, has this Gandhi spirit that is nice and passive. He has compassion and has responsibility while Jack just wants to play and kills stuff with dangerous weapons.
I read this a long time ago and by reading this post I remember what happened. Good job with your comparison with Ralpha and Gandhi.
