MOOD of the story

I tihnk the overall mood of this story is sad and despair. I think this because there is so much sorrow in this book, where kids die and they lose their friends, or where there is betrayal and disputes and where there is rage and revenge and just craziness. This book is very depressing and sort of scary and when i read it, i felt sort of sad. When i saw the movie, i felt scared and sad becuase watching it was way emotional since you can see it happen rather than imagining it when you read it. It was really tragic for me to see Piggy die by the boulder and when i saw it in the movie, it was gruesome. Man, watching that and seeing Ralph made me think how cruel and savage the kids were. They didnt feel any sorrow or compassion and started laughing and throwing rocks at Ralph. I wanted to punch them and beat them up because they were so annoying. If i meet any kids like that, they better watch out.
This novel was very depressing which makes it so good becasue there is so much emotion and symbols in this book that are real in the real world too. This book has a connection with the real world and that is why its such a great book. This novel saddened me becasue there was so much deaths and there was torn friendship for the main character. How hard it was for him to face all the kids by himself, to be strong and not to give up. It makes me admire his courage and how he went through all that.
